Fluxus Heidelberg Center

CHESTNUT PERFORMANCE

This performance can only be done in the Autumn in an area where there are Chestnut Trees. Performed by Litsa Spathi and Ruud Janssen in the woods surrounding Ziegelhausen, Germany.

  1. Make a walk in the woods without carrying any bags with you.

  2. Look out for Chestnut Trees.

  3. Look for fresh Chestnuts.

  4. Collect them and put as many as you can in the pockets of your coat, trowsers and whatever you wear.

  5. Walk to a place with a table.

  6. Place all found Chestnuts on the table.

  7. Make a Fluxus-cross with those chestnuts.

  8. Slowly change the location of the individual chestnuts to form the word Fluxus with the Chestnuts.

  9. Document the process of 6, 7 and 8 with digital photos.

  10. Turn off the light and make some final photos.

  11. Document these photos on the Internet.
